Josephine S. Guevarra, Ph.D - Executive Director

 

Josephine has spent over 22 years at IBM leading a team that is dedicated to transforming and improving employee engagement around the world. Prior to accepting a position at IBM she received a Ph.D. in Social Psychology; concentrating on Health Psychology. Her research focused on breast cancer screening choices (including genetic testing) among African-American women with family histories of breast cancer. She conducted her research at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center both in New York City. She lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York and has two adult children of whom she is extremely proud; Dr. Destiny Simone Ramjohn and Mr. Daniel Ramjohn. In her spare time she loves to read science fiction, garden and is fairly active in her local community.
